Kol Hashirim

Phil began playing the trumpet at an early age. He has recorded under his own name and with many of the big name bands of the swing era. He is from Los Angeles originally, and began playing Klezmer about 60 years ago.

He has performed in all possible venues: ballrooms, radio,TV,circus, ice shows, musicals, symphony orchestras, weddings and similar events.

After settling down in Dallas, he organized Kol HaShirim.

Kol HaShirim appeared in the documentary "Make me a Match".

They perform Jewish, Israeli, and European music as well as more current music that fits the genre.

For most weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvot, etc, they are asked to play more current dance music, which is where "100 Years of Swing", fits in.
